Flowers
Flowers are a joy to paint; however, it can be a nerve-wracking joy because the blooms have a brief lifespan. Taking photographs helps but there’s nothing like painting from the original specimen so I paint the flowers first, then I can proceed at a more leisurely pace on the foliage.
